Trip to Logar and Savinja Valley

Wednesday 2 August 2023, between 9 am and 4 pm

All-day guided bus trip; participants the bus picks up on the lake in Velenje, then they go to logarsko dolina, where they have a guided tour (approx. 2h), followed by lunch with local food in Ljubno, followed by a tour of the herb garden in Gorje grad and a short workshop using herbs. At the end of the trip, the bus delivers to the lake.

The meeting place is at Lake Velenj, from where the bus takes you along the beautiful Upper Savinjska Valley, all the way to its pearl at the end – the Logarska Valley. You will get to know the hidden corners of this Alpine valley with a guide (approx. 2 hours). This is followed by a drive to Ljubne, where a lunch of local products and ingredients awaits you in an authentic local inn. Then you will drive to Gornje Grad, where you will visit the herb garden near the largest cathedral in Slovenia and take part in a short workshop on the use of herbs. This is followed by a return trip to the starting point at Lake Velenjska.

If the trip in the middle is full, you can also register for the trip on Thursday, because next week we also have this day as an exception, mainly because of MetalDays. Registrations for this trip are due by Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the latest.
