Metal HeART in Gallery Velenje
During the MetalDays 2023 festival, we will prepare a pop-up gallery cafe with an interesting offer, which will be accompanied by themed workshops on a daily basis. Art lovers of all age groups will be able to pamper themselves with coffee and summer drinks and relax their brains during creative processes. Metal HeART will be open on all days of the festival between 9 am and 6 pm, each day will offer a new creative theme, and all days visitors will be able to make their own unique badge – in the metal workshop.

Production of black and white postcards
During the festival, visitors from foreign countries will be able to send greetings to their loved ones with a hand-made postcard. Of course, we also invite locals to make postcards. The workshop will be led by Arpad Šalamon.
Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
Face painting
Black and white face and body paintings with black eyes, skulls and various symbols are a mandatory part of the metal scene. This time you also have the opportunity to transform. Join us for a face painting and daily tattoo workshop, which will be conducted by Ivana Pranjić.

In the Velenje Gallery, we will also offer the possibility of painting T-shirts using the screen printing technique. T-shirts will be available in the gallery for an additional fee, and participants can also bring their own.
The workshop will be led by Uršula Skornšek.

The Velenje Gallery has more than 1,500 works in its collection, around 100 of which are exhibited at the Velenje Castle in the permanent exhibition Velenje Gallery’s Art Collection, 20th and 21st Century. We will prepare a guide after the exhibition in Slovenian and English, which will be conducted by Kornelija Križnič and Matic Veler.

Graphics workshop
In the graphics workshop, which will be led by Uršula Skornšek, you will be able to make your own stamps and print them on different materials.
Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
Saturday will be dedicated to making unique bracelets in the combined technique. The workshop will be led by Mia Miljković.
