DESCRIPTION
Take the cycling lane in the direction of Šalek Castle to the traffic light in front of the tunnel, take a left at the junction, pass by Šalek primary school and then at the mini roundabout take the left uphill street leading to Konovo. At the crossroads (image A) continue straight on, past Turn castle (image C) and the apple orchard. Continue in the direction of Gaberke, cycle over two slopes and at the Gaberke junction turn left and cross the subsided area over the coalmines all the way to the Jezero Campsite, past its reception onto Industrijska cesta (road), turn left and then right. Be cautious when passing through the level railway crossing (no signals or barriers), then take the gravel road with potholes past the Hofer grocery store, and then go straight at the next intersection to pass by the cemetery at Podkraj. Cross the Veriželj stream to the right. At the next intersection, turn left and after a slight climb, take another left in the direction of Zabrdo – Staro Velenje. At the private clinic, turn right towards Polzela. Continue on the winding and partially renovated asphalt road and just before the flat section, turn left towards Laze (marked). Pedal through Spodnje Laze and after a short climb descend almost all the way to the Obirc inn, where you will turn right (image B) past the Peugeot car dealership to the petrol station (image D) onto the main road Velenje – Arja vas. You keep on it for another 200 m and pay attention when turning left towards Bevče past the Bar Pod kostanji bar and cross Gorica to reach your initial departure point. A total of 4.16 km of gravel surfaces and cart tracks.
