Experience the special sights of Velenje underground, under the water and on its shores.
The Coal Mining Museum of Slovenia located In the mining town of Velenje has a surprising visit of the underworld in store for you. You will descend deep into the mining shafts in the oldest lift still in operation in Slovenia. After a stop at the cantina, no less than 160 metres below the surface, you will also experience an underground train ride.
After the visit of the coalmine, you will also discover the story of the lakes that are today the focus of the active and dynamic lifestyle in Slovenia’s youngest town. At Lake Velenje, a SUP paddleboard awaits you. Paddle away on the lake’s surface and look for the remains of submerged villages. Just under the surface of the water and you’ll find them pretty soon.
Take a break from the exciting adventures by relaxing at Velenje Beach where we have booked you a chair and an umbrella. Well rested, explore the lake’s surroundings riding a legendary pony bike, which is fitted with a picnic basket filled with a snack of your choosing (vegetarian options are also available). Enjoy this great food anywhere you might wish to stop!

As you see fit! You may schedule the museum visit, paddle-boarding, bicycle picnic and beachfront relaxation according to your wishes.
Price
33 EUR per person – but please note, pony bicycles may be provided for up to four people per single hire
The above price includes the admission ticket and guiding in the Coalmining Museum of Slovenia, an hours’ hire of a SUP, three hours’ hire of a pony bicycle equipped with a picnic basket and a whole day’s hire of a beach chair and umbrella.
Attention! Reservations must be made at least 3 days prior to the desired date
