Beer festival
The Šalek Beer Festival was organized for the first time in 2015. More than 3,000 people attended the event throughout the day, making it a very pleasant diversification of events in the old town of Šoštanj.
We will be presenting the culture of drinking beer as well as the increasingly popular boutique microbrewery in Slovenia at the event. Several smaller and unique breweries have sprung up on the Slovenian market in recent years, brewing beer according to their recipes. Although microbrewery beers can already be ordered in some Slovenian breweries and bars, festivals provide an excellent opportunity to showcase microbreweries. Foreign brewers, in addition to domestic local brewers, are welcome to participate in the event. At the festival, there are stalls where you can taste and try beer for yourself.
