you can use the city’s Bicy rent-a-bike system to rent bikes for tourists, or use your own to explore the easily accessible cycling trails around lakes.
For a day trip
you can opt for the cycling trail between Velenje, Šoštanj and Topolšica. Cycling enthusiasts can spice up their day by hopping on the Štrekna cycling bus, which connects Šaleška Valley with Koroška and Labot, Austria, where you can swim in a lake.
More demanding cyclists
can choose thematic cycling trails, such as the Paški Kozjak thematic cycling trail, Šentjanž cycling trail on Vinska Gora, and Vinskogorje cycling trail. Reaching the peak at Dom na Paškem Kozjaku at 1272 m and overcoming demanding trails in the Vinskogorje mountain area is suitable for cyclists with mountain bikes.
